Our Preschool
At Great Bridge Presbyterian Preschool, we are committed to nurturing the whole child.
We believe strong partnerships between home and school are essential, and we actively encourage close family involvement to support each child's growth. Our play-based philosophy — through both free play and guided activities — forms the foundation of every classroom.
Spiritual Development
​Caring Christian teachers help children understand they are cherished gifts from God by modeling kindness, respect, and faith. Monthly worship experiences further enrich each child’s devotional life. These chapel lessons are carried over into classroom experiences. Prayers and songs support children’s developing faith.
Social/Emotional Development
Small class sizes allow children to build meaningful relationships while learning to work and play in both small and large groups. Using modeling techniques, direct instruction, and redirection, our caring teachers foster empathy, cooperation, self-regulation, and respect for others while helping children grow as both leaders and followers.
Academic Development
We provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences in language arts, math, science, and social studies across all age levels. Children progress at their own pace through increasingly engaging and challenging activities. Our kindergarten program follows the curriculum guidelines of Chesapeake Public Schools to ensure a strong foundation for elementary school.
Physical Development
Daily outdoor play on our safe, well-equipped playground—along with engaging classroom activities — supports healthy physical growth and coordination.
Enrichment Opportunities
All ages participate in enrichment classes in music and foreign language. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is offered in our four- and five-year-old classes, as well as kindergarten, introducing foundational problem-solving skills and encouraging innovation and creativity.

All registration is done online. We will post a link here and on our social media on the day registration opens, on the following dates:

Wednesday, January 21st - Registration opens to the General Public

Please be advised that we can only guarantee a spot for your child once you have filled out the registration form and paid your non-refundable registration fee of $170. Early registrations will not be accepted. If you would like an email with the registration link sent to you the morning registration opens, please let us know.
